1828, 1832 Custom house and commercial agent of 9 Water Street, Thames Street.
1836, 1837 same address, dealer of Dantzic spruce. Cox and Hammonds Quays and Fresh Wharf, Thames Street.
1839, 1840 Wharfinger and Ship agent.
1841 Living at 3 Orchard Place, Camberwell New Road. The family had two live in servants.
1851, 1867, Living at 7 Park Terrace.

John married Ann Dimes, daughter of Charles Dimes and Susannah Oliver, in Mar 1824 in St. Mary, Lambeth, London. (Ann Dimes was born on 31 Jul 1802 and was christened on 3 Sep 1802 in St. Botolph Without Aldersgate, London.)
